Welcome to The First Presbyterian Church in Springfield!
We are a welcoming congregation that seeks to cultivate disciples of Jesus Christ in a community of learning, healing and sharing. Located in the heart of Flourtown, at the intersection of Bethlehem Pike and East Mill Road, we are rich in history and we are boldly forging our future for which we know God is preparing us. Our congregation believes in the importance of family; commitment to our neighborhood and world through mission; and nurturing spiritual values through our ministries of worship, education, and fellowship. Love Your Neighbor Family Night of Service - Wednesday, July 17, 6:30 - 8 pm. By popular demand, we are offering a summer service event similar to MLK Day, but on a smaller scale. This is a time for families from the community - parents, grandparents and children - to spend together making gifts for those who could use a little sunshine to brighten their day. The projects will benefit some of our favorite neighbors including Chestnut Hill Meals on Wheels, residents of Whitemarsh House, and children of families enrolled in the Interfaith Hospitality Network. All projects will be set up in Taylor Hall. Pre-registration is REQUIRED as space is limited and we are capping registrations at 75 people/25 families. Registration closes July 12 OR when our spots are full, whichever occurs first. Click here to register. There is no registration fee and the event is free to participants, however we are asking for donations of non-perishable food items for the church's Sharing Cupboard, which benefits our neighbors in crisis in Germantown. Click here to download the event flyer to share with friends and nighbors!

Plastic Grocery Bags Wanted: Here is your chance to get rid of all those pesky plastic grocery bags! Whosoever Gospel Mission has a constant need for bags for their thrift store. We will now be collecting bags as part of our Sharing Cupboard - please leave your donated bags on the bottom shelves of the cupboard (and don't forget to bring a few cans in with them as well!)
Don't forget the Sharing Cupboard! Canned and packaged food items are desperately needed each week, especially during the summer months. Your contributions are much appreciated and always delivered to Germantown Ave. Crisis Ministry on Tuesdays. The community is welcome to drop off food donations on Sunday mornings between 9 am and noon, and most Monday-Thursday evenings from 7:30 - 8:30.
