"Let the little children come to me; do not stop them;
for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs."
Parents - Your children are welcome here!
We love how God has made children: wiggling, talking, fussing, and playing. We value children in the life of our congregaion, and welcome them as an important part of our worshipping community on Sunday mornings. The FPCS church family is committed to the loving nurture of each and every child, as well as the support of parents, grandparents and caretakers as they face the awesome task of guiding their children in the Christian life.
We invite all infants and children into worship, and want you to feel comfortable and supported during worship. We encourage you to sit up front with your children, where they are better able to engage with all that is going on. If you are more comfortable standing and holding your infant, there is plenty of space in our narthex to do that and still participate in our service. Children are invited to participate in worship in any way they are able - cooing, babbling, singing, reading, praying. For busy hands, crayons and coloring pages are available from the ushers.
Childrens' Sermon: This is a special time in our service when children gather up front for a short sermon geared towards our young worshippers.
Children's Church: A weekly lesson and craft activity for children of all ages to do together. Children are invited to the Oasis Room following the Children's sermon if they wish to participate.
Infants and toddlers: May join us in worship, or they can spend their time with us in our fully equipped nursery. A loving adult, with full child-care clearances, will be available to care for your little ones while you worship.
